Well, maybe he started with a Horsa, then thought 'What if it had a new nose, and a...', You know, it happens.

Gives me an idea though - In 1946 an enterpising smuggler fitted 4 Pobjoy Niagara engines to a surplus WWII glider...  :ar:

They've got a Hadrian their restoring at the Yorkshire Air Museum, it's coming on well.  I love the way the cockpit lifted to allow access to cargo hold.  If it was carrying a heavy load the pilots were at risk if it lurched forward on a heavy landing.  So a cable was attached to the load & if it moved forward, the cockpit suddenly flew upwards.  Bit disconcerting for the pilots, but better than a Jeep taking you through the nose!

I guess those could be viagra engines then, on landing things went up in the world!  Boom Boom!

Nice kits by the way 777, your painting gets better every time I see a new build!  Good work!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

BlackOps

Lookin' good but I noticed the F-1 and the Jag givin' each other dirty looks!

Did find a Photo in "Airfields of Lancashire" of a Waco Hadrian at Burtonwood with what appears to be DH Dragon Rapide engines attached as a powered version.

Horsa....Hadrian

Slap a couple of engines on it with a T-tail and you're set, either way.

Nice "stripes" there!
