Dropped in last weekend and found some new stuff.  Unfortunately, they just wheeled the P-47D in this week so I missed it.  Guess I need another trip up north.

B-24D finally has its wing on.  They are displaying it like a double diorama with a factory build on the right side (which will have some "Rosie the Riveter"s.  The other side will be something different.

There is also an OV-10 Bronco that is being worked on.  Wonder if it will be in USAF markings or something different.

The bomb bay door was off the B-57A.  I remember seeing one off the EB-57's at Malmstrom with the Black Boxes mounted on it and caster wheels on the four corners.

There were some JATO bottles mounted on the C-130.

There are also some aircraft noses out in the lot.  Wonder if they have more parts for these.

Rest of the new pics start here.

They're doing a good job up there.  Have they finished the nose art on that F-105 in the fighter gallery?  That was in-progress last time I was up there.  I also wonder if they've got somebody lined up to repaint the nose art on the B-52?

i wonder where the recon noses came from?

iirc NMIMT [new mexico institute of mining technology] had a desert boneyard full of things
like F-8's/F-101's and so on for varying experimental work. they have had a clearout
in the last couple of years. someone had a couple of pages of photos in the rag
'Combat Aircraft' about the place.

the RF-84 nose looks pretty well worked on.
