It certainly is in BSP-Fighters since 1949 (or 50)  When I first saw the drawings and pictures I thought it was a Gripen but the one in your article here is the BAe P.106 and further on in the book there's the P.112 which is similar.

While reading about them it was explained that much of the design and drawings went to Saab to create the Gripen (along with some of the design team), which has some elements of both designs.

I wrote to Tony Buttler and asked if he had any other drawings of these two projects and he sent me a copy of both 3-views from the book.  I've been studying how to reverse engineer a Gripen into either the P.106 or the P.112, depending how much work would be involved.

I've mentioned this before here I think, but it's my opinion that both of these designs originate with the Hunter,  so much am I convinced of that, I place a fuselage half of the Hunter kit against the fuselage half of a Gripen kit and was surprised to find that they almost match.  (Ignore where the wings are and concentrate on the fuselages and you'll see that the Gripen is a Super Hunter)

If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

Didn't Sweden used the Hunter at one time ?
King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

Yes they used it! Saab J-40!!

Your teoria is very interesting

I'm working on an illustration of the BAe P.106B that will end up as a nice print with several of them on the same print in some RAF squadron colors. Maybe by mid-summer I'll have it done, but lots of other things in the mixing bowl right now.......
