Forgot all about that one, ta for the reminder!  Well, I'd go with your version of Bens bashed profile then, you'd be hard pushed to tell it was never a Soviet bomber.

I'd juxtapose some real life elements, rebuild it along X-21 lines, except use afterburning variants of the J79, and then give it the fighter nose used on some of the testbeds, hang a quartet of AIM-54s on a pair of dual underwing pylons, and then paint it all black like the RA-3Bs from VAP-61, with a white sharkmouth...

The "fighter nose" used by some Hughes testbeds was the radome and radar from the F-14, easy enough to get bits for.
