Next Year's Phoenix Build

Having stunned myself by actually finishing a model - the MiG Light Fighter - I decided to try to bring some order to the stash of half-built kits so that I could repeat this unusual phenomenon with something else. Unfortunately, I ran out of floor space - - -

This is another pile of larger models awaiting finishing or restoration. It would be comforting if somebody could tell me that this is perfectly normal but, as I only finished two models last year, I suspect that it represents a  terminal case of over-optimism.

Just start with the kit thats closest tobeing fininshed and work back.

Maybe you should post individual pictures of the kits in the most advanced state of completion and we can vote on the one we'd like to see you finish first.

Yes, it's an Mi-6, but it's the old East German Plasticart model. This is shown as 1/100 on the box but is actually 1/72, albeit very inaccurate.

I'm trying to decide whether to restore it as either the Mi-6 prototype or the airliner version in the kit or whether to go ahead with a whiff that I have in mind to make it into a sort of "Super Hind" large assault helicopter.

The "Super Hind" would involve adding a third engine and undercarriage sponsons like a CH-53 as well as a nose mounted cannon like the Mi-24 or Mi-28 and various other armament. What's really holding things up is that I can't decide whether to leave the cockpit as it is or whether to graft on a traditional two seat attack helicopter cockpit which could be donated by an Airfix Mi-24.

How about a "Spooky" version, with port side gatling guns? That way, the regular cockpit would make sense (more visibility at angle)
