QuoteSo an obvious question come... what engine had the C-133 ? T-55 or T-56 turboprop? can't remember...

The fact is, if you want a VIABLE turboprop Skyraider (Ie no Skyshark) key date seems to be 1955...
They're actually Pratt & Whitney T34-P-9W putting out about 7500 shp.  They have huge rectangular three paddle bladed props which would suit the Spad.

The C-133 was built between 1956 and 1961.

7500 hp ???!!!  :o  I stand corrected... mine only has 4900 hp...
I think it would be a bit too much for the Spad... (even if we are in a whatif world).

An interesting solution to counter torque in this case would be enlarging the winglets I've put on the horizontal tail.
Hmmm result could be a H- tail or "Connie tail" on a Skyraider...

King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.
