Ader had contracted with the French War Ministry for an aircraft able to carry a 1000Kg (bomb) load at 1000 Km and at about 200 km/h The end result was the Eole.

Wow! That's just superb! Well, the french army had to wait 30 more years and the Breguet 14 for the performances mentionned  ;)

The big windows looks like an eye, and the machine itself looks like a flying Jules Verne's Squid (from "20 000 leagues under the sea")

Brilliant joke... the Ader way... the other way ?
King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.
