Sunday 10th June 1145:

Sierra 122 on approach

Landing-on

122 meets the Hunter-Gatherer

After two hours or so, the guys went on a 'familiarisation run' around Liverpool (TRANSLATION = the pilots mum lives in a village a couple of mile across the fields from our station).

122 is leaving the building !

BIG thanks to Ian, PJ and the two Steves. Good to see the guys at Liverpool MRCC.

Oh yeah, that's what I'm talking about ! I just love Sea Kings ! It's the chopper that just looks right....all other helo's should bow before the mighty King !

I was in heaven a few years back when we spent the summer in Halifax ( ahem  ) working....not only the CDN Sea Kings buzzing about, but a trip over to the airport and you'd see the USN rescue birds being worked up prior to delivery back home. Man, I could watch those guys all day.........

Nice work, IHG. Which reminds me, can I borrow those other negs from you ? You need me to PM you my mailing addy ?

Cheers !

Just as talented with a camera as you are at the workbench, I see.
That last shot is the clincher for me.

Nice job!

Yep it's compulsory  B)  and the sunglasses weren't for effect.... Experience teaches that when you have seven tonnes of Sea King landing a few metres in front of you, even the smallest blade of grass can sting like h*ll when it get thrown by the downwash !

Thanks for all the comments, chaps.

I don't think he looks that smart.....if you look at the body language of the pilot, he seems to be on the defensive ! I think IHG needs to quit acting like a little kid, and getting all excited everytime he sees a chopper and dashing out to smother the pilots with affection !

Oh wait a minute, that's the way I act whenever I see a chopper......
