John,

Nice find - another David Drake product - who is he and has he been invited over here?.  John Baxter had a Fw-190T in some of his books too, though it was different to this.

Greg

Talking of Navalising Aircraft this months Model Aircraft Monthly has a side view of a hooked Fiat G.50. Real project and strangely in Regia Aerinautica camo. Has given me an idea though  :)

Nice Butcher Bird btw

For thier carrier Aquila i think although as far as i know it was suppoesed to carry Re2001G. Think the camo was due to the old law that the airforce operated all aircraft that stopped the Italian Navy getting Sea Harriers when Giuseppe Garibaldi was forst commisioned.

Yea the Aquilla was meant to cary Re2001's and some were converted and issued to the Battleship catapult flights.

The profile is of a Fiat G.50 O/R Prototype converted for deck landing trials in 1942, so quite late.

Very good article on the G.50, loads of profiles and side views, indeed it's a very good magazine this month - recommended

Weclomce aboard, kitbasher! You wouldn't be one of those gents turning out some of those amazing whiffs we're seeing pop up on some of the other boards, would you? In any case, welcome to the asylum!

Welcome here! Another brilliant mind for this board!
King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.
