As I've said elsewhere I am now working in Preston, Lancashire. Every so often we get disturbed in the office by the sound of jet engine, which are probably Typhoons from BAE systems. The other day when I was crossing between buildings I saw two Typhoon type shapes flying just below the scudding grey cloud (I expected damp in Lancashire, but this summer is rather more than expected!). Does anyone know the production rate and what else is built there?

Hawks are also assembled at Warton and the Saudi Tornadoes are being upgraded. BAE also has various airframes their to test and develop new systemd, so they also have Harriers and RAF Tornados to use.

As for the weather its pretty wet all over at present and we don't appear to have had the worst it compared to other parts of the country.

Cheers
