Figuring out the method for creating a Rat finish for whiff aircraft has been on Ye Olde Plate of Ideas lately.   A Roden Junkers D.1 has resided here for a bit and it just has that 'rat' look about it.   That along with a metalized and shredded fabric Fokker D.VII (or E.V) come to mind.  Couple that heavily worn look with certain areas being in impeccable condition and things should turn out acceptably.   Of course aircraft don't really rust but that multi-hued, multi-layered look of excessive wear might be doable.

But getting the patina might be a trick.

For those who may be unaware of the look of a rat:

Cool idea Daryl !!
Love the rats, funny thing 'tho ,my cars looked something like that for years! before it was cool it was called broke
How about instead of the Hells Angels tearing about on Harley Furgesons, they were airborne antisocials in war surplus Corsairs or Hellcats,
On the other side of the pond the Ton up boys and Rockers could have Spits and Hurricanes, and i spose the Mods could have anything made by Miles aircraft......
