Again, thank you all for participating, but it is time to announce the winners!

Everyone who participated got at least one vote (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) so there was something for everyone.

3rd place overall goes to Cap'n Canada's (Hangover-headache inducing yellow) RCAF Cormorant!

2nd place overall went to Glenn's Alaskan (Hangover-headache inducing yellow striped) Corsaviour!

and the 1st place goes to:

Kitnut's Avro Nottingham GR.II (sans any hangover-headache inducing yellow)!!

Thanks again to everyone who took part in this!  I'll be contacting the winners via PM's about their prizes.

For those of us who didn't finish, there's always "Return of the Revenge of the Rise of the Son of the Phoenix GB" sometime in the future!

Oh Wow!  Thanks everyone, I really appreciate that.  But I have to say the competition was very intense as all the other models were equally very well done.

Thanks again.

Cheers.....

Uh, there was a voting thread?  Where?

I wasn't even aware this one was finished....

Anyway, congratulations Kitnut!  A fine model :)

Not really a voting thread, just a post in the completed builds thread about PMing me votes in the scheme you pioneered, Nev.

Yes, this was practically what I would call a mythical build.  When you described some of the mods and "adjustments" you had to make, I could not believe how polished the end result was, Robert.

Kudos!

Guys, thank you for all your nice words, I really appreciate them.  Out of the prizes kindly provided by Anthony I picked the Sword 1/72 Grumman Goose, this will be treasured for a very long time.

All the best,

Robert

It will join my Widgeon and Albatross and I am planning Canadian markings for all of them.  CanMilAir have got some Goose markings listed and I already have Bill' Albatross sheet.  While surfing the other day I came across some photos of RCAF operated Widgeons, I'll have to see if I can find them again.

Anything with Maple Leaf roundels is nicer than the same subject done in any other markings (save Michigan based squadrons  )
