For the 1WGB this year I chose to do a F-14B based on James Huston's Flash Point using a 1/100 Revell (ex-Otaki IIRC) F-14A. To accomplish this, I ended up having to use 2 PW cans from Testors F-16 kits. The GBU-28 is scratched from a 1/32 Python-3 & a 1/100 LGB, the Lantern is from  an F-18 kit, and the rest of the ordnance is from another F-14 kit.

the Jolly Roger Decals are from yet another F-14 kit, with improvised CVW tailcodes.

In the book, the F-14s are suppose to strike a fortress in eastern Iran that has 100ft+ thick walls, something the GBU-16/24s wont go thrue. One of the pilots gets the idea to mount a Deep Throat on the F-14 (he flew chase for the GBU-28 tests). It doesnt say how the bomb was mounted, so I had to improvise a bit. Note the missile exhaust streaks on the wings, leftover from another part of the book that I wont divulge ;)

here's the source thread.
