Terry 'braincells37' Moore is doing the vacform Sanger 1/48th Airspeed Horsa with 'accurate' invasion stripes... accurate to the actual aircraft he is modelling. One with stripes that were evidently very hastily painted with a mop. :D
This is, very amusingly, causing consternation among some of the more uptight Seattle area modellers, comments along the lines of : "How can you spend all that time on that difficult kit and then paint on such crappy stripes?" etc. etc. I suggested to Terry that he create a 'scale mop' and use it to paint the model and then display the mop with the model... all in the name of 'accuracy' of course. ;)

The tires need to bulge and you can barely see some of the panel lines.  They really could have done better...
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

You mean "slopped on" don't you?  Skillfully applied with a mop :)

Is it me, or is the guy standing in front of the windshield asking the guy in the cockpit, "Can you see my fingers wiggling now?" :)

And if that doesn't work he should tell them where to stick the mop...

I don't wish to criticise, but neither the Mustang or the Spitfire appear to have been pre-shaded before they were painted.

Heads will roll for that!

That canopy should've been dipped in future/klear before putting it on; it looks dull as heck!

And those decals look horribly out of register as well and somewhat oversized.
