QuoteI'm not sure what is meant by a "B-39" conversion.   (Allison powered B-24?)  The set was based on the actual protoype B-17 version.  No plans for 1/72 version.
As I mentioned elsewhere, a B-39 is a B-29 re-engined with W3420s.  However, now that you mention it, a B-24 or PB4Y with Allisons would be quite distinctive.  I'll have to do a bit more research here.

For those who were curious about the nose-art, clearest shot I've taken so far with new cam (still figuring out the settings):

Not to get off-topic, but what drawings did you use for your Mig-31?

MiG drawings were done from photos and resources provided by a pattern-maker; all of it was done on commission for a smaller-scale model; I was allowed to do a larger version with the proviso none of the drawings or source material was released to anyone.  (Later events bore out the validity of this - one disingenuos person told me in 1999 that he was only going to use whatever I could give him for a "personal project".   Having already met this person before, I was already leery of his ethics, and was also bound by the previous agreement.  I gave him none of the material, or a set of blueprints, and decided also not to sell him a kit if he ordered one.  When I released the MiG kit on the market, he publicly announced on another forum that he was seeking to buy one of my kits, and only days later bought one  from another buyer; so far as I've determined, he used that kit to to fast-forward his own pattern-making, then announced thereafter he was marketing his project as a same-scale kit.)

Anyway, I've agreed to similar no-release contracts before, and have held to every one.   Anyone who chooses to draw up from scratch their own blueprints for whatever project they have in mind, feel free to do so.
