Basis of the Jaguar program was the Br.1210 (or 121). Think this aircraft has good whatif potential (just like the F-5 Tiger, or T-50 trainer).
south america, naval variant, light interceptor...

Here's a 3-view of this machine. It could be interesting to "reverse" a Jaguar T.2 (or -E) into the original trainer...

King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

Awww Archie, are you actually going to build this gorgeous girl???  Add a Tornado canopy to a two seat Jaguar & you won't go far wrong mate....
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

The big fairings below the air intakes clearly show how this project is linked to its ancestor, the Breguet 1100 TAON (the twin jet variant of the NATO LWF competitor)...

Interestingly, the single-engine Breguet 1001 gave birth to the Breguet 1120 sirocco naval fighter.
So both TAON prototypes were useful in the end... (even if rejected by Aeronavale, AdA and NATO).

My opinion is the Jaguar was a compromised design (because of the cooperative effort AND changes to its mission from training to ground attack).
Had the Breguet stayed to its original form and mission, it could have been better than the Jaguar...

Mossie, are you interested in building this one ?  ;)

I have to think about profiles for this one...

Patrouille de France would be awesome (hell, had the Jag been sucessful as trainer, no Alphajet and... no Hawk  ;) )

Red Arrows (no Hawk!!)

German single seater (in the same way as their Alphajets,a poor man A-10)

Just think about all Alphajet AND Hawk owners  :o

Zillions of whatifs... and a worried Dassault, because such an aircraft could have saved Breguet (no buyout in 1967)

Bump!

I went to the model shop last weekend, and couldn't resist Italeri's Jaguar E (there was also a British two-seat Jaguar)

So next project (after the MB-140) will probably be a Br.121  :)  Hurray!

The canopy reminds me of the two-seat Starfighter canopy.

A very attractive aircraft.

Well I think the basic Jaguar canopy is good enough for this one. Maybe moving it a bit (forward?)

I really want to paint this one as a PAF aircraft, with Heller Alphajet markings...

You've got a lot of good choices:

RAF
AdlA
Luftwaffe
AMI (Italian AF)
Spanish AF?
Netherlands
Norway
Canada? (if CF-5 is not picked)
Venezuela
India (huge order to replace Hunters, especially with Ajeet not working out...)
Belgium
Greece
Turkey
Portugal
Switzerland
US Marines? (They decide Harrier is too expensive, but need an A-4 replacement)
New Zealand?
Brazil
Chile
Ecuador
Brunei?
Indonesia
Malaysia

Basically, anyone who bought F-5s, Jaguars, Hawks or Alpha Jets, and quite a few who bought none of the above!

Archibald

Thank you for the input    :tornado:

Yes there's a lot of interesting choices, I'm rather tempted by a Red Arrows machine... there's some cheap Hawks at the shop (9 euros!)

For example, Spain use twin-stick F-5s (not T-38s!) and is so satisfied by this thing that they even rebuild some F-5s into two-seaters!

There would be also a market for a naval trainer... (USN markings!)
