Nah, I won't be able to finish it today. The nosejob is hardening right now, but needs some sanding down and painting. The decals are a bigger problem: I don't have any that come close, so that'll take a few weeks.

I'm finally done with this kit. Since the last pics I've added the decals [1], installed hydraulic cylinders behind the airbrakes and put the airplane on a stand.









1: no serials, but I like the clean look without them so I'll leave them off this time.

That's a really beauty you've created there my friend! :P

I've several of those in my stash but I'm too scared to build one given their rarity. Though I have heard a rumour that Airfix are going to reissue this at some point in the future.

EDIT: So it seems the rumours were true and the Airfix SR-53 will be on sale again next year!
