Anyone know what the colours are meant to be for the blue scheme worn by their F-4EJs and F-2s?

And does anyone make a matching paint?

Thanks Chris, FS 35164 is Hu144 Intermediate Blue, so that's a starting point!  :D

Going way, way back to the before time, I posted this F-4J Kai to the old Allied Naval Forces GB.  I think I painted it FS35042 for the dark blue and FS35109 for the lighter blue.

Checked Urban Fredriksson's charts on the IPMS Stockholm site & he has FS 35042 listed as:

Tamiya: X-03
Xtracolor: X121
Polly Scale: PCA803
Gunze Sangyo: H35

He's got Humbrol listed as well, but it's from the old colour builder charts where some of the colours are very complex mixes.  He lists:
12 parts Hu21 + 10 parts Hu15 + 4 parts Hu68 + 3 parts Hu:22
or
Hu:181 which is discontinued but can be made by 1 part Hu189 + 1 part Hu182, I'd go for this one if your using Humbrol!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Thanks for the replies - I keep seeing some of the same numbers crop up whilst investigating this.  I'll see what paints I can get hold of ;)

Going off JP's profile the colours appear to be the WWII USN colours of Sea Blue and Intermediate Blue which are both available in Xtracolor/Xtracrylix range (Ring Aeroventure Nev as i think they are your nearest stockist).

Yeah, that's what I'd figured Geoff.  I've already got the Sea Blue, but I like your suggestion of a trip to aeroventure for some Xtracrylic Intermediate Blue ;)
