Won the lottery?  Buy yourself one of these kits, a 1/144 Bismarck by Glow2B or a 1/144 Yamato by Soar Models.  Then kick the kids out of their rooms & tell them they can now sleep in the dog basket!

1/144 Bismarck 650 Euros (US$860)
1/144 Yamato US$5550 (4170 Euros)

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

And tell them to get their own food in the future, cos with that pricetag, you cannot afford feeding them either ;)

Dang, why can't I be independently wealthy?   Very nice looking kits.

If you buy and make one of these this monster beauties, make a good hinge for the deck/hull interface so your cadaver will look nice when your angry wife buries you in it!
My mind is like a compost heap: both "fertile" and "rotten"!

Damn. Bismark is 1.7 meters long, and I am 1.9... thought i'd just found my ultimate coffin...
There are no good kits, bad kits or grail kits, just kitbash fodder.

Just make sure your hair's short & bend your knees if you get a chest pain...

Or you could commision one from Ghana.  A funeral is seen as a celebrtion as well a time to mourn in Ghana so a decorative coffin is not uncommon.  Some of the builders have become well known & ship around the world.

Changed my mind - the ghanan fish coffin looks awesome!
Now that could be an interesting GB - build a model as a coffin!

So the Yamato is $5500 as a pre-order so they can make the moulds to produce the model?

SOAR are the same mob that did the 35th scale Dora, and I know of at least 2 of those monsters that have been built here in the UK
I always hope for the best.

I swear, if I could, I'd sell a kidney to get one of each, and a mass of materials, and Whif them within an inch of their lives.  And then take over some space in the house to display my monstrosities of whiffery uberness.  Tirpitzski in 1/144 would have been seriously insane to do, and so damn awesome in concept.

But I have only one kidney, sadly, and thus I cannot.  Ah well, I can dream of a lottery win.
