Simple idea: build a model of a whiff to be used in a fictional advertising campaign.

Suggested rules:

1. The model may be of any subject, but must be a whiff. For instance, a standard RAF Jaguar that flies through a Jaguar Cars advert doesn't count, but a Jaguar warbird painted British Racing Green with a gold pinstripe and a leaping jaguar logo does.

2. As well as building the model, you must also explain the advertising campaign and where the model fits into it. Mockup adverts and Photoshops are very welcome, but the end result should be judged on the model and the idea, so a written explanation is fine.

3. The ad campaign must be reasonably realistic in terms of it's budget: no ad agency is going to build a flying TSR.2 replica for a 20 second Zoom Lolly advert. However, see rule 4.

4. The ad campaign doesn't have to use a real, physical, working subject. It might be animated, for instance, or it might use a static replica in a live scene. An example of the latter might be a "dream cars" garage in an "If Only..." style advert, where the owner switches on the rest of the lights to reveal the line-up getting into jet fighters and spaceships in the distance.

All up for discussion, of course.

Smarmy lawyer-type in sharp suit: "Have you had an accident at work? Then call The Accident Helpline on 0800 blah blah blah. Keep 100% of the compensation, etc etc etc..."

Cut to smoking hole in the ground, with parts of aircraft scattered around the area. Man with implausible bandages waves large cheque at camera and grins.

Printed that one out a couple of years ago, it sits above my modeling bench. Classic!  ;D

How about doing a Fulmar, Firefly or Gannet in emerald green with a white pinstripe and a white baby on the side?

Don't forget, you can always change their ad campaign: maybe this is for a new super-strength version called WILD green Fairy Liquid......

Would those various old planes operated by Red Bull count? I mean the MiG-15 with Red Bull colour scheme looks pretty cool...

Now, for my Australian brothers... The Millenium (Ford) Falcon... either a MF with ford logos or (oh god!) the dreaded AU model Falcon painted up like the MF... now I wonder why Ford never tried that to sell thier 2000 models...

Exits muttering about really startlingly poor styling choices and cars shorter on one side than the other...
