That's the way to do it.  Way to go and nice looking bird also.

Now, time to finish some of those old started projects.

Nice build Mossie - the Tiger really does seem to suit most schemes you can throw at it, also always looks ver "Supermarine" to me
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Oh yeah, baby: it's like that itch has finally been scratched by a tall brunette with long nails and thigh-high boots---------but I digress.

Looks great.      Love all the grey (or silver?) trimmings too.  Hope you take time out to give yourself a well-deserved pat on the back and try to hang on to that positive feeling of a successful build in mind.  I think on of my own shortcomings is that I seldom reflect on a completed build long enough to properly enjoy it...too quick to jump onto the next one.

BTW, what IS next????

Oh man what a beauty!!! Bloody well done Simon.

Well done Simon - for all our international viewers there was a round of applause from the SIG when Simon pulled this baby out today  -_-

Thank you again for all your support guys, I really couldn't have done it without a metaphorical kick up the backside!  Had a good time at Huddersfield, although the trip back took about double the time (3 hours) than it did on the way there after a nasty crash.  Still, the traffic came to a full stop & I turned off the engine so I could read one of the books I picked up!

QuoteWa-hoooo!  Nice build Simon     So how does it feel, actually finishing a model?
Very, very, good!  Actually, I'm suprised just how good I feel about it.  It's not been just modelling that I've had difficulty getting a grasp on recentely, it's been many things within my life, especially my work.  I've felt that if I finished a kit other things might follow, well there's one or two things in the pipeline but time will tell....

QuoteLove all the grey (or silver?) trimmings too.
Silver, the Tiger in USN service had the leading edges in NMF.  The Danes tended to hit every part of their aircraft with green drab, or at least a black anodised finish.  I thought NMF'd contrast nicely with the green though, bit of artistic licence.

QuoteBTW, what IS next??
Already on the go, a JB Models 1/76 Alvis Saracen I bought at Huddersfield.  See what you guys have started!!!!! ;D ;D ;D

QuoteFinished? I'm sure you meant Danished!
Now you've got me thinking of a Danish pastry with wings, that one might have to get built!  There's a GB, ediible kits!   Where's Radish.....???;D ;D ;D

I'll post some more pics when there's better light, which may be some time at this time of year!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

hmm, its always a great feeling when the modelling inspiration returns and looks like simon its hit you in

Thanks Trev, yeah, it seems to be coming back to me after many years away, I'm now just itching to get this Saracen done!  I used Humbrol acyrlics Hu.116 for the green, found the match using Don Color & the IPMS Stockholm color lists.  The leading edges are Citadel Colour Chainmail.  The jet pipe is a mix of that & Tin Bitz, it's not quite as bronze as it looks in the pic.

Don't know why, but the Saracen is one of my favorites, too.   I have that JB one too so I hope you'll share an in-progress build re: that one as well.

Thanks for the link Baz!  If I could only stretch to the 60-odd quid for it, & the 80-odd for the Stolly too!  I've entered it into the Armour GB, have a look here:

It's a nice little kit Baz, you should get it together in no time, although I'm sure you have some serious surgery planned for it!  Here's a little real world whiffing inspiration, a converted Saracen that was used in the Judge Dredd movie:
