both in 1/35th.

Tamiya Japanese Type 1 SP converted into a Manchurian tank destroyer by mounting a 75mm PAK 40.

AFV Club M3A3 with the Vulcan turret from the Academy M113 SPAG.

My builds are just for fun and will not be included in the voting.

Today I started the first project, the Type 1 tank destroyer, I've bestowed the name Kariudo, which is evidently the Japanese word for hunter.

The fighting compartment is just set in place, the gun is further back in the recuperator than it will be when its done, for now its helping to align the barrel arch while those parts setup. Very little modification was required for the barrel and recoil slide from the Pak 40 to fit right into the recuperator for the kit's 75mm gun. Like it was meant to be.  ;D

Coat of Tamiya Khaki.

Cheers, Jon

Why not, though, Jon?  If you let the poll do the voting, you should be able to include your projects as viable entries.  If you happen to "win" the GB, we could send you a prize, no?

That's one great concept and it looks like you're well on your way to building an impressive tank destroyer! Really nice work, Jon! This reminds me of Shep Paine's maxim: "If it looks right, it is right!"

The M3A3 with 20mm from the Academy M113 SPAAG.
Another example meant to be, the turret fits perfectly within the turret ring of the AFV Club M3A3.
