Starting my build...

I'm starting my build this afternoon, but I'm torn on how to finish it.  I've decided against traditional 'armour' for this one (though I may do a laser-based air-defence Bradley before the build ends).  For this first on I'm doing an old Airfix 1/32 MGB.  Now I know you're wondering how the hell an MGB is going to be an armoured vehicle, but I've narrowed it down to 3 potential ideas/backstories:

1.  The Serious, Not Beyond The Realm Of Possibility Idea:   Soviet invasion of Great Britain in 1966.  Resistance groups spring up around the country.  In the spirit of the Home Guard they fight the invaders with whatever is at hand.  With a heavily modified race engine, armour plating added, and a recoilless rifle for 'shoot-and-scoot' anti-tank work and a .30 cal machine gun one particular MGB becomes famous among the beleaugered population...

2.  The Sci-Fi Idea:   Daleks invade earth in 1966.  Resistance groups fight the Daleks, again using whatever is available.  Armed with a variety of earth weapons, a captured Dalek gun and a mix of armour plate and Dalek armour one MGB becomes famous among the beleaugered population...

3.  The Silly Idea:  Experimental British Army Rapid Urban Respose Vehicle.  Think a mix of Knight Rider, Batmobile, Tank, bristling with missiles and guns, but totally unfeasible (totally undersized missiles and guns hidden guns in places they really wouldnt fit, like a James Bond car).

So fellas...any input??
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

I take it by MGB, you mean something like this:

Nice!

Now picture it with a small half-moon windscreen in front of the driver, a .30 in front of the passenger seat, a recoilless rifle facing aft in the center, and some armour plating bolted or welded on.  Add d bulge on the bonnet/hood for the big engine (like an MGC) and remove the bumpers and grill, then replace one headlight with a induction vent for the engine and you have my resistance fighter MGB (Morris Garages Badass).   Paint the body a lovely deep red, tehn after the armour is on respray it OD, allowing some red to show through in some areas.

For the Dalek version, substitute a big dalek gun for the recoilless rifle and add some Dalekesque bits to the armour.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Hi greg and all
nice pic of a nice car, but you must have flipped the image in error as the steering wheel should be on this side. ;D

A laser-based air-defence Bradley would be nifty as heck ;)
