What if FedEx or UPS had started alot earlier then they did. At the local airport I have seen single engine planes used by FedEx that look like the palnes the CIA used  during Vietnam. I was thinking that if they had bought some used surplus military aircraft to start with the ymight have been A-1Es or early C-130s to move mail and cargo. Possibly early DC-9 and Convair 880s or 990s too when they made the switch to jets.

Interesting idea.  When I first saw you subject line, I thought you were going to ask what would happen if Fed Ex & UPS merged.  It reminds me of one of the ships I put in my sci fi diorama a few years ago.

The result being Fed UP delivery company.

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.

At one the Wonderfest contest years ago someone built a TWA Spaceliners in UPS makrings it looks pretty good but it wasn;t something I would do since I have no fondness for the kit.

You Starfury looks good You should think about entering it in a future Wonderfest contest.

Ed,
That is your dio.
Seen lots of pics of it but would love to see some more close ups of the different ships, etc.

Does anyone actually make a model of a VFW-614?

Poor planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part...

Actually, I had the diorama at Wonderfest a few years ago.  It was pretty much ignored by the Judges.  Then the following summer it was at IPMS Nationals & won best Sci Fi Diorama.  Go figure.

Yeah.  It's just that it's 1/72 scale and with all the small signs and markings, crowed space and the fact that most of the ships are glued to the base, it would be real hard to get good close up individual shots of the different ships.  I guess I know for next time to be better about documenting the whole build.

It was probably at the 2005 WF I'm guessing since that is the only one I have missed since going to it in 2001. Thats why I didn't remember seeing it.
