...but if i may, i think i'd like in on this?

i'm thinking something based on a scorpion chassis, but not sure what....i'll think of something i'm sure.

work's been eating me alive and i need a break away from computers, zoos etc....so what better way than by tanking it up with my homeskillets on here?

if i can formulate a design within the next couple of weeks, i should be cutting styrene by march-ish.

i need this one.  if i don't finish a model soon i may as well burn my stash.

lol, i've been to the stash and it looks like intended kit is a 1/72 and LIEK ZOMG WTF HOLY poo-poo IS THAT SMALL.

sooooooooooooo i'll be heading to the LHS this weekend to eye up something a little larger i think.  seriously, that 1/72 scorpion is an antmobile

Do you remember Chaparral? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MIM-72_Chaparral
What about mounting 4 ASRAMs in that Scorpion tiny turret?
Will die without understanding this world.

to be honest with you Carlos, some kind of AAA was one of the first things that i thought of - afterall, the stash is almost 100% 1/72, so there are all kinds of AAM lying around (and i was thinking more of a pair of vehicles, one with a Skyflash launcher, and one with some kind of multi cannon arrangement for a layered defence....

BUT i'm not sure that i would enjoy building something SO SMALL.  Honestly, the hull of tank must be no more than 2.5" x 1.25", and add all of those teeny tiny wheels and fiddly widdly tracks and that's just a recipe for failure i think.

It all depends on what i can find at the LHS this weekend....  I rather fancy some kind of multi purpose tracked vehicle, somewhat akin to a tracked landrover or HMMV, or a modern BREN carrier...   Something that could be used in all environments, be airdropped, and something that i could cover in gas cans, bed rolls and mud!

In fact yes, think something along the lines of a tracked HMMV sized utility vehicle - amphibious would be a bonus, but not essential, as would some kind of armament.

fun fun fun!

Whatever became of the foraging at the LHS, retro?

Do you seek a 1:35 kit?
Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.
