At one point in the project I actually started to enhance the details, but for some reason I changed my mind. Here are some shots of the detailing before it was "canceled".

I did a shorten version of the SR-75 Penetrator, the YF-75 Merlin fuselage before being chopped to a shorter length.

Here is a shot of preparation to fabricate a bulkhead.

Two engine or four...which will look better down the intake inlets?

Preliminary detailing of the "Speed brake" and the weapons bay...both were not incorporated into the build.

Its not the workbench that makes the model, it is the modeler at the workbench.

I think I just wet myself.    That thing is gorgeous!

Yeesh, the stuff you don't even end up incorporating is better than a lot of features I do choose to leave on my models.     :o

Excellent work!!

I always loved those "sci-fi" looking airplanes!!

Just a little question about the "F-75" and "MELRIN" white decals. Didyou manage (I don't know how) to print white color on clear decal sheet, or do you just cut some already printed white letter?
I ask that because I have a project in stand by just because I cannot find the good white letters ;)

Holy crap dude, now I'm embarrassed to show my models. ;D :o Love that paint technique. You could use any shape on the template.

White lettering is dry transfers. I use dry transfer whenever I can.

The painting technique can be used with any shape.  Create a shape then thin down some acrylic paint (color doesn't matter), hang a piece of paper vertically and give the technique a try.
