The coolest part of this thread (besides the wicked cool whiffs), is the possibilities that emerge if during the cold war the Soviets had followed closely along the 'luft-46' lines, rather than imitation and reverse-engineering British and U.S. technology.  It would be cool to see an early 4-engined Soviet bomber based on the Amerika bomber concepts, rather than that Tupolev copy of the B-29.
