Yep. I start on this one next tuesday. It should be interesting to say the least...my wife will be happy because that means I have to clean out the studio ! I wanted it to look like a normal whatiffers den, but the director said no. Sigh. And no beer bottles? WTF?

Your director has no respect for verisimilitude (or however you spell that)! As a amateur Production Designer/Art Director, I'd be adding as many beer bottles as I could find! They are symbolic of the Whiffers love of beer, lunacy, and the kind of ideas that professional aero designers ONLY have when drunk!
There are no good kits, bad kits or grail kits, just kitbash fodder.

What about a rootbeer bottle?  You can always fill it with the beverage of choice but it would be disguised as a non-alcolholic beverage :)

Oh we hashed it out...beer bottles will be in, as well as my percocet supply ! (kidding)

You will, of course, have the obligatory What If masterpieces in the background, I hope!
Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

Already lined up!  I am cleaning away while watching movies...fun, fun, fun.

One of my favourite lines so far:

"The first to remember when whatiffing is shop safety. Always wear safety glasses when building fictional models."

"Water Modeling".  I didn't know you could model in the pool.  Doesn't that make it difficult to work with waterbased acrylics?

Ed
We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.

It's even worse when you try it in a river, all your stuff just floats away with the flow, and you're right, it plays hell with your acrylic finishes. The phrase 'use water to thin' takes on a whole new meaning...  :banghead:

Well, at least the bathroom is close.  Don't stand downstream of a whatiffer.
