post war would be interesting if an alternate europe the production line had reopened. Supplying democratic govts in Poland and Cezchslovakia, maybe Israel, Turkey. And in the 50's some in Korea as part of the UN operation.

There once was  carrier-based, French Me 262 with foldable wings around...

This site did not open for me - probably just a user problem (too old to use software).  But would love to see the carrier version of Me 262.

The MiG 15 would trounce the 262

Don't think it's quite so clear cut.  Depends on the pilot, really.

The Australians were presumably good enough in their Meteors and I have never heard of them claiming any kind of superiority of MiGs, despite the regular overclaiming from the Russians.

Can we get a USAF ME-252 in F-86 Saber paint job?

Im currently looking into building a new Me.262 variant, the Me.262A-6a.
its a standard A-1a variant that has been optimized for the fighter role and has a significant weight reduction.

modifications foreseen are a reduced number of cannons (2 x 20mm instead of 4) to make room for additional ammo, removed cockpit armour (plywood sheets would be used instead) and improved ailerons for improved maneuvrability and a better accelaration upgrade of the Jumo 004 engine.

another modification im planning to install are air/speed brakes. as the speed of the 262 isnt only its strength, its also its weakness.
so im thinking adding an airbrake would improve decellaration in air combat and upon landing (where the Me.262 was vulnerable).
i dont know of airbrakes were planned on the Me262, but if they did, would they have 1 under the aft-fuselage, or 2 on the sides of the aft-fuselage?
on the bench:

-all kinds of things.

Air brakes could also (alternatively or additionally) be integrated into the wings, or the vertical rudder could be split (Space Shuttle style)?

zenrat

How about split flaps as brakes?

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Hello, folks,
Anyone bothered to graft the wings from Ta-154 on the Me-262?

I am utterly horrified at my failure to suggest that Me-262s would have been heavily hurt in any equal fight against Fussian flown  MiG-15s... As per the Australian Meteor experience even if early 262 should have been better than early Meteor and l have read a book on how the Me was superior to early P-80. If this is an attempt for an earlier service date for 262 with straight wings, there will be no books to explain how Luftwaffe would not expect it as they were demanding compressibility resistance from their primary fighter -worked upon since 1938.
