Hobbes

This is an 1:24 model of a Renault Magnum truck, which I'm not going to be building OOB. The backstory will explain it in more detail, for now imagine Tim 'the Toolman' Taylor going "More Power!"

I started this about 2 years ago, it's been gathering dust until recently.

Engine with new intake and exhaust tubing, and 2 turbochargers instead of one:

The tubing is of a much larger diameter than the original stuff.

New exhausts:

original rear suspension:

new rear suspension:

The idea is to replace the original leaf springs (front) and pneumatic suspension (rear) with an active system using hydraulic cylinders.

Stuff to do:
- independent front suspension
- modified interior
- fancy paint job

Hawkeye

Do you air ride suspension. I found that if you check the craft store in the beading aisle, you can find beads of the correct size and shape to replicate those air bags. All you need to do is to stack a couple of them together to get the bellows shape.

two beads stacked. Or you can use one larger one for single chambered setups.

Its not the workbench that makes the model, it is the modeler at the workbench.
