Thanks Lads but to re-iterate the Italian "smoke ring" camo is from Mike Grant's "decal" (shudder  <_<) range. He does a specific sheet for the Mc 205. The rings need to be cut out but they are extremely easy to apply. Next time I'll make sure the finish I apply them to is a bit better, thats all. Thoroughy reccomend Mike's stuff. Service is excellent - only took a few days to get here from Canada.

Superb little collection, Chris, I trust you're proud of them..... I would be !

Those are three sweet little builds you've done there mate.

Nice trio.  The 'volksjaeger' cries out to be done in all kinds of alternative Axis schemes.

I love the Ki 231! I hope you don't mind me stealing that designation for my IJA build. I'm planning mine in bare metal(and gray painted wood) with perhaps green mottling.

Where'd you source the markings from? It's suprisingly hard to find anything that'd fit those damned little wings!

What're you going to do next? Captured USAAF? I've seen french, russian, and british, but I don't recall if the US ever got their mits on one, or at least repainted it.

The U.S.A. captured several He 162's and one of them was flown by test pilot Bob Hoover.

The Planes of Fame Museum in Chino California has one.
The paint job is original (the paint job on their Me-262 isn't even close) and when I saw it, the paint on one of the rudders has chipped off all the way to the wood. It's a really, really tiny plane. I've seen ultralights that are bigger (but without the BMW003 and the 30mm guns...)

No problem with the designation - I just used the next available Ki number from "Japanese Aircraft of the Pacific War". markings were from various kits - you need something like a Ki 61 for the Japanese national markings.

Beautiful work and....three for the price of one (post)!  Great value.  That Italian one really stands out.
