This is the old Airfix F86D that I brought specifically for this theme. Although it's an oldie, it goes together like a gem, really sweet little build. Anyway, on to the subject matter. Originally I was going to put it in the Medium SeaGrey/PRU Blue scheme but I finally opted for the overall silver finish once I got the Meteor decal sheet I needed for the makings. So it got sprayed wiht Halfords Nissan Silver and the nose conew was flat black tamiya flat black acrylic. I also painted the leading edges a slightly different colour so as to break up the overall silver effect. I think it looks quite smart. The markings are for 43 Sqn originally based at Leucers in the mid 50's. There is one set of mods I have to do to it before Telford and that is to add an extra set of pylons and habg a firestreak off of them. The RAF having decided to do away with the Mighty Mouse rocket pack when they brought these machinesm which in RAF service are called Sabre F2's. I know stunningly original. Any way thepictures are a hell of as lot bettere than the lasst ones I posted. Enjoy.

That's one beautiful Sabre Dog there Lancer! The R.A.F. markings look great against the NMF.
