Sukhoi Su51, NATO reporting name Firesale (2009 1 week GB)

Satelite images just in show a service version of Russias latest fighter the Su 51 "Firesale" on the tarmac at the komsomolsk on amur airbase.
Anaysis of the imagery indicates that the aircraft is standing on a new type of "self healing" rubber runway which may be immune to conventional ordenance.

yes and no.

our engineers did not forsee such an idiotic weapon and hence did not conduct testing against it

however testing has now been conducted at it has been determined that a giant hobby knife can indeed penetrate the runway if dropped from sufficient altitude (the fact that some small hobby knife shaped slits end up in the runway means nothing to the glorious all terrain capable Su51).
calculations performed by TsAGI indicate however that the only bomber capable of delivering such a weapon is the American B52 and that it would have to be released from ~10,000 metres.
i think our glorious red airforce interceptors and SAM's are capable of dealing with such an assult.

Of course such a weapon could be delivered by ICBM however even the insolent capitalist pigs would not risk a swift nuclear retaliatory strike to deliver a weapon of such dubious value.

even so studies are ongoing of fitting electromagnets to our ABM's to allow positive contact with incoming weapons before detonation.
