Took a quick trip across the channel last saturday to visit the Biggin Hill Air Fair. Unfortunately picked the wrong day as Sunday had much better weather. The day started beautifull but soon after the show started grey clouds moved in and set the tone for the rest of the day. Still, a beautifull show with a great mix of old and new, civilian and military. Here are a few pictures, more can be seen on http://highandlow.topcities.com/

Very nice!

I love the show scheme on the Tucano this year.  The Seahawk is a beauty too.

So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Captain Canada

Holy smoke a rollie.....I used to blame your photographic prowess on the digi-cam.....but these pics are proof of just how good you are. Wow.

Love the shot of the Spit and the 'Stang peeling away. And the DC-6 ? Thing looks like it's on afterburners !

Thanks for the compliments guys. Always nice to share the goodies here.

And Captain, it is the camera you know. I'm just the guy pointing the thing to where it should take a picture
Oh, by the way, the Spit and Stang duo received the award for best team performance on the show, And well deserved I might add.

Just want to say thanks as well Patrick, there some amazing photos there. I think my faves are the Sea Hawk and the F86. Brilliant stuff.

Well done! You got much better pics than I did but that might be down to you having a much better camera  ;D

Sunday was a great show even with the long queue to get in and the sunshine beating down all day .

The RAF Role Demonstration was spectacular with an E-3 Sentry and 2 Tornado F.3s providing top cover for the GR.4s who did bombing runs on a 'Middle East' airbase where a pair of captured British troops were locked up. Rescue troops jumped out the back of the Chinook while an Apache led the attack run with 'missile strikes' and gun blasts.
A pair of enemy Hawks launched to defend the field and had a brief dogfight before being shot down by the F.3s "FOX 2:tornado:
Loud, violent, smelly, eye watering..... what more could you want?!

The traditional Spitfire finale was smooth, graceful and beautiful as the sun started to dim behind the London skyline. I think they played Jerusalem sung by a female singer, very calm and fitting.
