Little forum faux pas in that I did not add photos when this was first posted http://www.whatifmodelers.com/index.php/topic,20296.msg286901.html#msg286901...here they are...

I have the fuselage from the Hornet cut and just placed on the Voodoo, the forward wheel well is being cleaned up to be added to the Voodoo airframe.  Trying to figure out which nose cone to use, Hornet or 101?  Suggestions?

This is going to stay as a single tail but the stabilators will be dropped to middle range.  I am considering a thre color camo, varting shades of sand/desert/buff with perhaps a sky underside.

Also trying to figure out a name for this beasty...again since I am a newby your suggestions would be helpful...

Wow, you make it look easy, JoeRugby!  That is a great merging of styrene.

I agree that "Hoodoo" would be a pretty cool name for a jet involving a Voodoo airframe.

Although, in Alberta (aka "Little Texas"), here is what we call "hoodoos" down in Drumheller:

It being Father's Day today, and therefore a suspension of the HDL (Honey Do List)  my ever lovely and long suffering Mrs. said go to your bench and don't get up until you are happy...SHE ROCKS !!!

Mr. Slinger and Mr. Mouse thanks for the input...the ghost/hoodoo gave me the idea of Wraith...

I am now starting to think about the tail and the intakes for this pup...the tail is going to be a single for sure, but I think I want big honkin' intakes al la the F4...

i'm with the boys on this one - she's looking great Joe.  Really nice and chunky around the middle too, just how i like them.  Couldn't agree more about the intakes - it's take something nice and bulky to offset that fuselage....Phantom would work, so would Mig-23....or you could go with circular ones (like a Buccaneer or Clunk), maybe even something with shock cones like a Mirage....but certainly, the bigger the better.

Thanks fella's!

Last night I dove into the stash and I think I may have found my intake solution...Using the nacelles and engines from the old Monogram A26 "box scale" I am going to attempt to make  shock cone intakes...the wings are finished now and work has begun on the tail assembly (something akin to the F16) no pics until the weekend, but just thought I would throw this out for any suggestions or comments you all may have...

This sweet Joe! I've been itching for an excuse to build a Voonet, but will be glad to watch you do it instead of me. That's some good looking progress you've got there.

Whoa!  Thanks! Eddie, means a ton from you...and everyone else as well since I am still a "cherry" at this IWF thing, the shock cone idea was crap, or rather my execution of it was...the pictures and the model look like a pig's breakfast...back to the drawing board...

Keep hackin and throwing parts at it JoeR. That is a really cool design. I'm looking forward to seeing that done. If your looking for shock cones for the intakes have you thought about just going with Starfighter cones. The intake would look cool with the design as well but you could still use different (bigger)ones. As another option for the cones how about cutting a prop spinner in half, or a nosecone , or maybe a droptank end?
