I have been forced to redecorate (or to be more honest, assist the Decoratorette) and have to pack up the library. Trouble is as soon as her backs turned the temptation to open a few and browse is just to great. Looking thro` a couple of books I found the pic below. It`s  from Luftwaffe At War, vol 6 page 33b and is listed as an A-8, but whats the pointed shape coming from the wing leading edge and is that a 4 bladed prop?.

In another book Warpaint Special No.2 Me109, I found the illustrattion below.

Now I like intersting, out of the norm, finishes for my 109`s and with D Day stripes really fits the bill. Now instead of buying the roundels and fin flash and Prototype `P` as decal packs that I`l never use again, has anyone out their got  just the the amount I need for this model, obviously all expenses met. If not can anyone clarify the types, are they C1 as I think?

Cheers All

It's a 3-blade prop methinks.

Didn't the French have Fw-190's w/ 4 blade props post war?

Gary, the roundels are type C on the wings (I would expect the uppers to have type C as well going by the date) & type C1 on the fuselage.  I can spare the roundels & fin flashes in 1/72, don't have any in 1/48.  Funnily enough I just recentley picked them up for a 1426 Flt build myself.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Thanks for the quick replies,
Wooksta....Any clearer pictures, checked my A L Bently drawings on the 190 and no refference there.
MartinH.....Thanks for the indepth info.
Mossie.......Sorry, should have given scale. I`ve got either the Hobbycraft 109G-6 conv to G14 or the Hasegawa  G-14, both in 1:48. Think I know what one I`ll use.

Thanks Agin

No probs Gary, I realised you usually build in 1/48, just with Wooksta reccomending the 1/72 kits I thought I'd give you the option.  It might be worth tapping up IHG, he's probably the most likely to have some in 1/48?

Not D-Day stripes, I'm afraid, but ident marks for captured aircraft being flwn in Britain at the time, to supplement the yellow undersides more commonly associated with trainers and experimental types. Note the B/W/B/W/B colour sequence - the opposite of the W/B/W/B/W associated with D-Day stripes.
Happy modelling! ;D ;D
