Quotejust a thought re. the Sea Fury, for a number of years iv been trying to determine the colour scheme of Ferranti's trials Sea Fury T.20, overall black?, dark blue?, red?, dayglow? nose and le.

iv a 'Warpaint' profile showing a dark blue scheme, a model review finished in toverall black ('Plastic Kit Constructor' who state an old 'IPMS. magazine' for reference unfortunately one predating my files) and iv seen a model displayed at a recent show again in a blue scheme with an orange painted cowling?

any further thoughts or information would be most helpful...

cheers, Joe Cherrie
I've become of the view that it is RAF Blue-Grey
It's not an effing  jump jet.

Modelzone in Holborn (London) has it, too.  Looks nice but not as striking as the Wyvern.  Very high empty box space to kit ratio.  Still, you could probably fit a couple of students in it and get a nice holiday out of the rent!

Now that the 1/48th scale Trumpeter Sea Fury has been released with all of its faults including the fantastic price, it turns out that there is a use for the older and less sophisticated Hobby Craft Sea Fury kit.  Brett Green on Hyperscale has found a way to use both kits along with resin and metal aftermarket parts to kit bash a rather decent looking Sea Fury.  So hang on to your Hobby Craft Sea Fury kits, they may be worth something after all. :) I still think the Hobby Craft kit with all of its perceived faults is still the better choice.  But that is my own personal opinion...
