Hi folks, I'm looking for a 1/72 or similar radome. It's gota be the size for an A-10, so something off a F-14 or F-15 or a smaller aircraft in 1/48th would work methinks.

It's a long shot, I know cos who's got a "spare" radome kicking about?!?!? If any of you WHIFfers out there have butchered a nosecone off one of your machines I'd love to take it off your hands. I can cover postage (UK) and/or exchange for anything in my spares box. I've got a mix of stuff but mainly 1:35 armour bits and a lot of U/C parts, so let me know if I can help.

Thanks in advance
Stuart

HOG - What's a "Natters"!?  Pardon my ignorance if this is obvious!! lol

Wooksta - Is this a pointy or rounded radome?I'd like something pointyish I think!

Thanks guys

Wooksta, thanks!

That may be interesting.  I'm intending to add a radar to the A-10 and generally update it so the rounder dome would look more "modern" but the meteor/Ju-88 may be an interesting idea...

Woosta's Meteor NF radome should work well.  The A-10 doesn't fly in speed regimes where a more pointy radome is necessary and you might as well simplify matters where you can.  I'd suggest doing this to the two-seater simply to have a proper RIO to keep teh pilot's work load reasonable.  I've been thinking of a similarly mod'd and navalized A-10 as a revival of the "Missileer" appraoch to fleet air defence.

Good point about the speed, I hadn't thought of that!!!  Dunno about the twin seat thing, might skip that cos I only have the single seat A-10
