Been perusing the pics on the different sites and looks like Whiff is pretty light (or just not well photographed).  Here are a few pics I noticed.

Traditionally, these events tend to be "Whiff" light.  Mostly because a high percentage of modellers take themselves waaaaaay too seriously.  However, I am willing to bet that due to Leigh's efforts and organizational capability at last year's IPMS USA NATIONALS, there's more acceptance of Whiffs.

My suggestion is to have one or more of our Whiffers who happen to live reasonably close to wherever the IPMS USA Nationals happens to be that year to organize the local efforts.  Maybe they (JMNs) will re-discover having fun again.

Next year is in Cleveland and I have already heard several whiffers are contemplating the trip including members in England and NZ.  Don't know if I can make it next year but will try.  I have a better chance in 2010 when it comes back to Phoenix.  They did a great job in 2004.

2009 Nats is actually in Columbus, which is almost in the middle of Ohio. Don't want to get all JMN, but if you go to Cleveland instead, you miss the show.

hmm, mildly OT but worth a model  :tornado: or even a HP Victor.... but is it really 25 years since the RAF really
caned the butts off of SAC in the annual bombing competitions, when 617 sqn went over and then the year after
that 27 sqn went and if anything did better with their  :tornado:
Keeper of George the Cat.

There wasn't a lot of whiff stuff, and what there was was scattered around different areas.  You can see some of it in my "Plane Spotting" thread.
