Finnish Air Force Fighter Squadron 31 for those that can't translate Suomi! :D

Got this kit from EBay minus decals, construction started as a demo techniques models for a club demonstration of basics. It is the Matchbox kit, built OOB (except for the decals of course!) Used various metaliser paints for the finish. Canopy fogged on fitting but did not notice until after masking was removed...oh well! Decals from the Superscale MiG21 sheet and an old Fokker DVIII sheet (regos).

...  a sweet looking model there Ray, nicely executed and really suits the scheme too (methinks HävLLv 31's lynx marking has to be one of the coolest to appear on any aircraft!)

whatd you use for your metal finish on it? ... i tend to shy away from nm finishes as iv found them a pain in the past

cheers, Joe

Thanks guys

The BMF was a base coat of Humbrol Metalcoat 27000, I then masked the wing panels and various other panels and sprayed Tamiya Titanium on the wings and either Testors Magnesium or Aluminium on the fuselage panels. The whole model was sealed witha brushed coat of Future.
