Hi All!!

I may have missed the dealine for the Profiles GB with this bird but I got her finished yesterday/today with the assembly of the weapons and installing it all on the kit.

1. Left side:

2. Left rear 3/4 showing off the engine. I'm still mulling over painiting in a steel demarkation band for the enigne itself to make it stand out a little more:

3. Top down:

4. The little scratch building I did do for the cockpit came out nicely through the PF's larger canopy:

5. My patriotic pilot :)

6. And finally a few shots of the SAAF machine with her French cousin:

7. Out from the time warp my completed USMC FV-9 that I've forgot to post up. Still trying to decide on what weaponary she'll sling :)

All crits and comments welcomed!!!

Very cool    What kit did you use? I think some cluster bombs on your Jarhead Harrier would fit nicely. Great Job

Nicely done, Damien.  Too bad you didn't finish it for the GB.

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.

Heeheehee thats not an AV-8 thats an FA.2, the 1/48 Airfix one to be exact! I got my first head turner!! :)

I must admit the masking was a little tricky what with my hamfistedness but Gekko's (MIA at this point) schemes are sooo cool. IF I can get my hands on more of these 1/48 Academy kits at cheap prices I'll definitely be building some more whiff Mig-21s!!

Excellent work, Damian! I think you nailed all of them perfectly and your rendering of the wear and tear on that French MiG is outstanding! Of course, few things spice up an aircraft like S. African markings!
