I do *LOVE* the look of it. The "smaller" DB-605 could have been supplanted by the larger, more powerful, and similar DB-603, which powered the Me-410. The Fw front end was large enough to take it, though I don't know about engine bearers. One of the "problems" with the small frame of the 109 was that a larger engine, such as the DB 603, could not be accommodated. The Germans pumped up the DB 605 to its limit in the "K" series, but the DB 603 promised more horsepower.

As much as I like this, I did not see any radiators. The Me-109's had slim, underwing radiators for engine coolant in addition to the "chin" oil cooler. The inline Fw-190's had a blunt snout so as to incorporate a radial radiator in the nose. The slim opening in the nose of the Fw-190E will, like the Schmitt, be able to cool the oil (very important, as a large part of cooling the DB engines was done by the oil), but not the engine coolant, too. The engine would burn up without them. Or am I just not seeing the underwing radiators because of the photo angles?
My mind is like a compost heap: both "fertile" and "rotten"!

Looks super!

It needs the black and white spiral spinner though to fool the JMN types. ;)

Looks great!    I really like the paint demarcation line between your camo and belly color, great effect!

Ditto.  And the sleek lines...mmm...
Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

Agreed, a spiralschnauze would really knock folks sideways, but those lines give it a real 'greased weasel' effect !!
