Looking good, Tophe! I'm going to enjoy seeing your progress on this one.

Keep it coming, Monsieur!

The nose is done again with plastic/putty/sanding, replacing the destroyed vacform clear parts. And the wing is back on. I hope now that all will be finished in less than a week.

Nice progress, Tophe! This is gonna be one sleek, fast zwillig!

Putty & sanding: complete
Tailplanes: glued
Overall sky paint: done

Remaining: painting the black windows (completion scheduled for August as I will be busy next week). And the dream will have turned plastic... :)

Here is the final Me 262BBJ Bi-Biz-jet

Why are most windows so small?  (this plane being nick-named Biz-jail... )
Simple: while the big boss is enjoying the landscape :P , a very beautiful stewardess sitting on his knees :P , the accompanying staff   (including the pilot   when the auto-pilot is switched on) has much work to do <_< . The computer screens provide almost enough light, a little extra opening just helping the supervisor   to check nobody is sleeping  ... Such a Bizjet is an actual tool for productivity  , making airline trips of the old times look like holidays... :D

So, as a conclusion, here are together (at thousand miles distance but close together on the Web), Zac's FMA IA.9 Trago (fully featured at http://www.whatifmodelers.com/forum//index...?showtopic=9071 ) whose first steps started this thread and Tophe's Messertof Me 262BBJ BizJail that came from it.

Thanks again, Zac! (and thanks JHM that provided me with a plastic canopy after I tore the vacform one...)

Hooray for you, Tophe!  What a cool concept you have there!  If you'd like, I can send you some corporate logo decals from racing cars for the tail, etc.

Great idea, love the placement of the slotted windows (nice starlit view on nocturnal flights with one's shapely stewardess at, ahem, one's side).

What a fantastic end result Tophe! To see such a terrific design in styrene is amazing, and to have been the inspiration for this marvel is extremely humbling.

B)      Congratulations my friend!

Thanks a lot Zac!
Well, I am happy it is finished and it is plastic indeed, but your model is far better done than mine, I just tried to follow your steps, at a distance, and the road (to become a rather good modeller) for me is still long...

As the Me 209Z became Me 409, would the Me 262Z have become Me 462?
(I have shown it above from Myr's http://home.wanadoo.nl/thraex/wings/axis.html : )

Well I have read today at http://www.designation-systems.net/non-us/germany.html
that the Me 462 code has been used for the P-1107 project – and the 4-jet Me P.1107 is presented at  http://www.luft46.com/mess/mep1107i.html
Rather sad with a single fuselage... I prefer our Me 262Zs...
