VERY nice!

Really should just have an AC thread for everyone to submit to.  I've got a couple (F-20 and F-29) and several more waiting.

any update on this build yet?

BTW: for those not familiar to the PS2 game series.
here's a pic i found from the F-14D flown by Schnee squadron in ACZ
4th tactical fighter squadron, Belkan Air Force  ;D

on the bench:

-all kinds of things.

Sauragnmon

That's taken from another game though, it lacks the definition on the leading edge pattern on the wings.

Damian, I swear if you're feeling extra adventurous, you have to do the Zipang F-14D - that pattern is too damn beautiful (Purple with the lotus on it - it was worn by the F-14D Ace "Zipang" in AC5 originally)
Putty-fu, Scratch-jutsu and Bash-chi, the sacred martial arts of the What-If. Mastering them, is Ancient Chinese Secret.

Just your friendly neighbourhood Mad Scientist and Ship-whiffer.

Overkill? Nah, it's Insurance.  So are the 20" guns.

Yeah that crazy one with the moon and stars and all that on it????
U should do it damian!

its similar to the one posted on here earlier, its tempting....

More pics tonight. I have airbrushed the Belkan markings on it. I have found an image of the schnee squadron logo. It will be on the base of the flight stand. And i will have round three of adding some stencil markings on it. the two previuos attempts didnt work, due to the color of the plane. I may have to just make masks of the outlines of the stencil data, and airbrush it a darker tone. at least its so dark i might get it looking decent.

Well once I'm done with the SH-360 which for me is a buidl project I may turn my hand to a paint project. When I saw the "Lotus" F-14 I really loved the scheme! It would be way more advanced than my "digicam" Harrier but seeing as I know a person in the decal business it may not be too bad :)

D
Try not. Do. Or do not. There is no try.

Benjo

Hey, I have airbrushed on the stencil data. after going through three sets of decals, i couldnt find one that worked.
I sacraficed another set of stencils, cut them out with a knife and used these as, the stencil!
Heres the progress...

The clear coat has made the f-14 very slippery, as i was airbrushing the stencil data, it slipped out of my hands and landed top first, cracking the canopy.
Not sure what to do now....

Shhhh, don't tell anyone the canopy's cracked: we can't see it in the pictures, anyhow.
Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

HAHA yeah youre right, the white of the cracks is right where the pilots helmet is lol
Good spotting, or unspotting

I have these new pics.
The canopy needed to go. I might have to steal it from my old phelix tomcat... but its a good one not sure yet.

I show you the textured wingwalk, as these dark areas on all jets are actually rough as like scateboards material.
I prayed the dark grey, with lots of black. then sprayed a small amount of brown. then speckled it by spraying it with a thick mix of grey and semi gloss black. pull the button right back, and press it ever so sofly, and the paint will kind of rain out. making the speckly texture.
