In Spanish this kind of diagrams are called 'desarrollo' = development. I do not know the name in English

You can just use Styrene sheet as paper or cardboard. This way:

Some points:
- Sheet thickness must not be greater than half a mm. In this example it is just this thick.
- Extra sturdiness is acheived by adding an extra layer, not done in this example yet. If you glue this extra layer with liquid glue, leave some days to cure and you will have a very workable wall.
- The bending is an important point that must be performed with care, specially whenthickness is above .3 mm. It is ilustrated in first pic.
- The hole is done in first sept I added. I can correct position of first sept with my fingers, from the other side. The second sept (does not need hole) can be corrected with a toothpick or the like introduced through the hole.

I hope pics are clear. If not, please ask me.

In english we call them 'nets' for some reason... (that is, unless my memory has failed me once again)

I've done a few such things with paper, and I tried my hand at a sort of score and fold model of a Warhampster 40,000 drop ship but I found that most of the time the plasticard I used just scored and snapped... I think the model was designed to be built with cardboard actually...
There are no good kits, bad kits or grail kits, just kitbash fodder.

If you can get hold of an Engineer's Zeus Data Chart and Reference Tables Book it'll have the formula for working to include the plastic thickness  ;D
