Has anyone released a Bae Hawk 200 in 1/72nd scale??

Well, the tittle says it all really, this would be a nice addition to my collection of COIN aircraft, and maybe a contender for the Trainers with teeth GB

What would really be sweet would be if Italeri would modifly theirs into a -200. Such a cool, tough looking bird with a zillion possibilites !

My thoughts exactly!! Just fopund one in the states on ebay, works out at nearly £15!! I think I will wait a while.

The Matchbox kit is based on the original mock up. were as for a production bird, Neomega do some Hawk 200 conversion sets.

Yes, the nose on the Matchbox kit, like the noses on the Mockups, is vastly different in contour to the production aircraft.

Not to mention the fact that the Matchbox Mad Trencher was at peak form for their Hawk 200.

I would love to see a mainstream company do a production Hawk 200, but considering that they seem to see an aircraft like the AMX as untouchable and no major powers use the Hawk 200 (as far as I know) I think it best not to hold our breath for one.

I got mine from Hong Kong via E-Bay, it was fairly cheap if I remember but obviously moulded over there - legally, who knows ?

I think the production is legal, but is ment for the Chinese market only, so The online tradeing of them out of Hong Kong and China could be a bit suspect in law, but I doubt any one in their right mind would realy want to press the point.

I got a few of em, one from Steve (Aircav) yrs ago . . . along with some porkpies that got confiscated (along with the kit decals) when the box went thru customs in Houston . . .

One day I want to cast the radome/fwd nose section & try to graft it onto a H100 kit.

True, although on the other hand, the original mock-up presents whiffing possibilities. It had internal cannons for a start, and they were offering an attack nose with FLIR/LRMTS as well as different radars too.
