Hi guys!

I just got a Smer 1/48 Sopwith Camel for teh cheap from teh ebay and looking at the parts discovered it has raised marking detail ala the old Hawk and Aurora 1/48 WW1 kits. So I was wondering, does anyone know if the Smer kit is a re-issue or an original? I don't really care either way - my liking for WW1 aircraft in 1/48 means I work on a lot of old kits since I don't want to pay Eduard prices.
There are no good kits, bad kits or grail kits, just kitbash fodder.

My book says it originated as a Merit kit, Smer did two boxings of it, box # 105 and 809.  Looking at the Merit listing the Camel is listed as a copy of the Aurora kit.
If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike
