Isn't it always the way..... I have a sizeable stash of weaps in 1:48 & 1:72 (I'm guessing most of us do), but have I got what I need for a (near) future 'What If' project....... obviously not, that's why I'm asking for your help again.

(Deep breath) Has anybody got four 1:48 AIM-120's they can let me have - I recall that there were a couple in the early Hasegawa F-16 kits - don't really care which kit they're from. Deals/swaps/money can be arranged for decals or other weaps etc.

Ian, I have a 1/48 Airfix Tornado MK.4 which came in the 617 Sqn. 60th Anniversary box, would you know if that kit has any AIM-120's because if there is some I'll try to find where the kit is and hook them out for you.

Ian, I'm almost certain I have some.  I'll take a dig through my spares box and see what turns up.

Most if not all of the Hasegawa F-16 kits had a pair of AIM-120A AMRAAM shapes included in the box.  Not sure if they were removed from the later versions or not but all of the kits I have in protective custody had these and they range from the F-16A through the F-16C Night Falcon at which point I gave up on acquiring any more of the damned things.

There are two flavors of AIM-120 AMRAAM.  The original with the full span fins at the rear of the missile which would be for external carry only and the later version with clipped rear fins that could be carried internally or externally.  The Hasegawa F-16 kits that I acquired all had the full span AIM-120A shapes.

From my own kit acquisitions, I know of several other sources for AIM-120 AMRAAM shapes that can be found in the following 1/48th scale kits:

Italeri F-16 kits -- These are a bit soft on details but there are usually two or four in each version of this kit.  Two are solid one piece moldings and two are split into two piece moldings with add on fins.

Revell EFA 2000 Typhoon  -- Four included plus four Meteor AAM in this kit.

Revell F-18E/F Super Hornet -- At least two of the later version with the clipped rear fins.

Revell F-15E Strike Eagle -- At least two in the kit with the clipped rear fins.

Revell/Italeri F-22 cRaptor-- Six included in the kit with the clipped rear fins.

Revell/Italeri EFA 2000 Typhoon  -- Four included in the kit.

Italeri JA-39A and JA-39B Gripen -- Two (JA-39A) or Four (JA-39B) in the kit depending on which version you acquire.
