These look perfect for my five-year-old who declared the other day that he wants to build a 'model jigsaw' like the ones daddy has in a box in the roofspace.

Not wanting to let him loose on my stashed CF-105s I've been trying to find a simple, cheap kit that we could buy in multiple so that he can make mistakes and learn. 

Airfix Series 1 kits are stupid prices now but Armourfast looks like a good deal, I'm sure he'd be happy with tanks.

The Hobby Boss 'Easy Build' kits are another option. Even Hannants are only charging £6.25 each for them.

True: the (wheeled) ones I've seen have optional parts for a fully detailed 'modeller's ' chassis or a simplified-but-stronger 'wargamer's ' chassis.
