Couzinet 150 racer design.

From this brilliant page on Rene Couzinet and his 'Arc en Ciel':

Looks like a lot of those Couzinet machines featured streamlined spats.  Nice find.

this model just scream "SPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED !!!"
King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

I really need to get around to building my Arc En Ciel one of these days. The Heller kit shows its age, but
its a beauty...

Back in the '80's when I acquired my Arc-en-Ciel, it was very rare and expensive, but I **HAD** to have it. I think it was re-released by Heller in the late 90's, but not sure.

(Sigh) I had to trade mine away as part of a models-for-compressor deal. I had wanted to "militarize" it as a whif, but someone else will have to do it!
My mind is like a compost heap: both "fertile" and "rotten"!

That's just drop-dead gorgeous, Jon!!! Thanks for posting it and I'm sorry I didn't catch it sooner.

I think I'm in love with that gorgeous spatted beauty!
